Since graduating from Central Saint Martins, Kathleen Kye has quickly risen through the fashion ranks: a 2011 debut at London Fashion Week, a 2012 stop atNew York Fashion Week through Concept Korea, and a spot on last year’s shortlist for the LVMH Prize. Her knack for street art graphics and quirky designs—a clutch shaped like a furry pink die—has earned her a long list of musical fans, like Rihanna, who has worn two blue fur chubbies by KYE in recent months. RiRi has it right: The brand’s outerwear is eye-catching, from studded two-tone duster coats to a varsity jacket that’s half red, half black-and-white check, worn with a kicky fringe skirt.

Hyein Seo just graduated from Antwerp’s Royal Academy last year, joining the ranks of Ann Demeulemeester, Dries Van Noten, and the rest of the Antwerp Six. For her MA collection, she showed a collection called “Bad Education”: disaffected youths in white socks with kitten-heel slingbacks and bombers that say “School kills.” At the British Fashion Council’s International Fashion Showcase before that, Seo presented “Fear Eats the Soul,” inspired by old-school horror films and Jim Jarmusch—shag fur coats with ghoulish faces, fur appliqués on jumpers. She won top prize and one major fan in Rihanna, who carried an enormous white fur stole with the word “Fear” on it around Paris Fashion Weekearly last year.
On our wish list for summer:
A white lab coat embroidered with twin red skulls and an Antwerp banner on the back; a green bomber with two white skulls on the back; a red logo sweatshirt that says “School kills” with a matching white bucket hat.

The country’s reputation for top-notch counterfeit bags is an odd source of national pride that PlayNoMore confronts head on with a line of Hermès-inspired purses—croc-stamped Birkins and Kellys—covered with sequin patches of large, cartoon eyes. The demure, top-handle bags are a travel staple for proponents of Seoul’s ladylike street style, especially members of all-girl bands like Miss A. What’s more, model Irene Kim recently created a capsule collection for the label of three circular coin purses with emoji faces, done up in sequins.
On our wish-list for summer:
The round, orange leather bag with gold-chain strap and a green sequin tongue-face emoji; the Shygirl Kelly–shaped bag in candy pink with sequin eyes and hearts; a black snapback with sequin eyes above the croc-stamped brim.

In 2005, designer Jae Hyun Kim launched Jardin de Chouette, operating largely on a couture scale, and became one of the first to bring high-end contemporary fashion to the country’s burgeoning industry. Her diffusion line, Lucky Chouette, reinterprets Jardin’s feminine silhouettes for the cool girl-about-town—drop-waist sailor dresses, denim culottes that button up the front. A chouette, which means owl in French, is the official mascot and appears on T-shirts, sweaters, and dresses each season. This month, the label’s must-have item comes by way of collaboration with Vans: yellow and black shoes in two styles, printed with Technicolor chouettes on skateboards.
On our wish-list for summer:
A long-sleeve yellow and white–stripe minidress with matching yellow Vans; a black-and-white drop-waist sailor dress with pleats past the knee; a pale pink double-breasted blazer with matching
pink tapered culottes, worn with a marbled logo tee.
